Little Known code that can increase your sales
Hey guys,
recently I have been blogging about alot of random stuff: how I missed my highschool days etc.. so now I decided to blog about what I do EVERYDAY! Hopefully it will open up your eyes and know me better.
I am a self-confessed Internet Affiliate Marketing addict, and so far I am proud to say that my one year or so online adventure have taught me alot of valuable lessons..Lessons that I will cherish for the rest of my life!
Now this post is a simple tip for Any affiliate marketers out there (sorry if you don’t know what the HECk Affiliate marketing is, but you can learn about it here)
It has always been an Affiliate Marketer Dream to “cloack” their Affiliate URL(s) so that the potential buyers do not know that they are actually being “referred” to a vendor site.
This method which is know as URL cloacking can be troublesome and have LOTS of ways to tweak and do it,
The Most popular method is to make a PHP script that redirects users to a site, but if you are not a coder, this process can make you bald faster…

So I am going to share this little tip about how a SIMPLE yet POWERFUL JavaScript that you can add RIGHT after any URL and 90% of the browser will not show it….
Are you ready?…. DrumRolls Please…
OnMouseOver=”javascript:window.status=”;return true;”
Thats All! you just need to add that after any <a href> Link and you are ready to go!
Here, Let me show you How..
Supposing your Affiliate Tracking URL is http://www.veoh.jp
so your code will be:
<a href=”http://www.veoh.jp”>Click This Link Because its so COOLL</a>
and you will get:
Click This Link Because its so COOLL
Which is a Normal code that everyone tries to add on their review page, or affiliate landing page,
There is NOTHING WRONG with it at all, but if you “Hover” your mouse to the Link, you can see the real Link at the LEFT BOTTOM side of your Browser… Try try…
Again there is Nothing wrong.. But sometimes, when an experience buyer or a fellow affiliate sees this, they Kind of Know, that your site is a referring site, and some other naughty affiliate, will clear their browsers, and replace your affiliate URL with THEIR own, so that they can STEAL the commission from you!! Right under Your HardWORK promoting the product!!
so with the Magic code you Now have this:
<a href=”http://www.veoh.jp” OnMouseOver=”javascript:window.status=”;return true;”>Click This Link Because its so COOLL</a>
right after your affiliate close colon ” URL, NOTE: remember to put a SPACE after the close colon.
And VOILA!
you get these:
Now try to HOVER your mouse.. ITS GONE?? Really?? Unfortunately.. if you use Google Chrome
people can still see it.. But it works for FireFox and IE!
So Have FUN! and see your commissions Increase!!
PS: you can even use this for any LINKS, so that you can let your friends click the link in your blog because they can’t see the link a the bottom left.. and they become curious…and curiosity usually pays! LOL
Interesting Facts: 60% of affiliate marketers who use this simple code, has reported around 40% of sales increase!
To your success and Mine!
Anton

The two links both read “http://veoh.jp” when I scroll over them… am I missing something? (I could be because I’m not very good at this stuff). I’m using firefox.
are you using firefox 3?
thanks for your comment
Yes, firefox 3.
Ahhh…
unfortunately.. here is the explanation.. the latest browsers..
google Chrome and firefox 3 has overwritten their javascript way of reading…
but lucky for us, so many people still uses Internet Explorer and firefox 2….
so sorry about that mate!
hang in there Nate!
Hey, awesome post :D. Unfortunately for me, I’m using firefox 3 as well haha. Better put this code to use before the world updates their browsers!
